A Trip to Bangalore
Bangalore (now Bengaluru) is a magnificent city in Karnataka, India with all kinds of places, from malls to scenic beauties, from clubs to temples and many more. It remains as busy during the nights as it is during the day and I call it, " A Happening City".

| Going to south India and not wearing a gajra? Impossible! |
My trip to Bangalore began with showers of rain right from the time we landed in the Kempegowda International Airport. The streets were really busy and it took us more than an hour to cover a distance of 40kms to the main city. Now, we had to start exploring the city, so here are some places worth visiting in Bangalore:
1) Lal Bagh
This is a prodigious botanical garden with a wide and rare variety of plants. This place is good for a walk amidst the colourful flowers and the dense greenery. Every year, a flower show is held in the "glass house" of this place. During this time, this place is EXTREMELY crowded. There's also a lake situated within Lal Bagh.
2) Iskcon Temple
Tranquility is the word which best describes the Iskcon Temple situated in Rajajinagar of Bangalore. I've never before been to a temple with such a serene environment. This temple is beautiful, well maintained and definitely worth visiting.
Please be careful with the clothes you choose to wear to this place because they don't allow any clothes that reveal even your shoulders.
Also, taking pictures inside the temple is strictly prohibited.
3) Nandi Hills
Situated at a height of 4800 feet above sea level and at a distance of nearly 50kms from the main city, Nandi Hills is a treasure for the nature lovers. This place offers a mesmerizing view of the surrounding landscape. For adventure, activities such as paragliding and cycling are common here. Nandi Hills is a popular place to enjoy a sunrise or sunset.
There are a few temples on the hills too.
4) UB City
Home to a number of high-end brands, night clubs, spas, and numerous diners, UB City personifies luxury. You may find brands like Louis Vuitton, Jimmy Choo, Burberry and a lot more located within the mall. Owing to its night clubs, UB City offers an escape from your usual life and you may enjoy some good music or attend events like Karaoke night, exclusive parties and much more.
5) MG Road
Dear Shopaholics, ask no questions, head straight to MG Road if you're visiting Bangalore. MG Road is the most popular shopping and entertainment hub of Bangalore. Besides shopping, you can enjoy great food here.
6) Shivoham Shiva Temple
This temple has a very small entrance but is enormous on the inside with a very tall statue of Lord Shiva. The statue is nearly 65 feet tall and is placed in front of an artificial pool. There are also caves inside this temple which depict the chaar dhaam yatra.
7) Wonder La Water Park
Wonder La Water Park is a water park with many thrilling and adventurous dry and water rides. It is one of the best water parks in the country and is a must-visit if you like such parks.
Here are some other places that you can visit during your trip to Bangalore:
- Innovative Film City
- Vidhan Soudha
- Bannerghatta National Park
- Bangalore Palace
- St. Mary's Basilica Church
