BBLUNT Salon Secret Hair Colour- Honest Review

Colouring your hair is a big decision. Learning from the experiences of others before you colour your hair is a good idea to make the right choice for your hair.
I coloured my hair for the first time in March, 2018. The colour that I used was BBLUNT Salon Secret High Shine Crème hair colour ( shade- 4.20 Wine Deep Burgundy ). I used a complete regular pack for my medium-lengthed black hair.

The regular pack is priced at INR 199 while the mini pack is priced at INR 89. If you're going for a root touch up or if you have short hair, the mini pack is enough, while the regular pack is suitable for medium-lengthed hair. They claim that the colour lasts for 8 weeks. Two things that make this hair colour stand out are:
a] It is claimed to be ammonia free.
b] It comes with a shine tonic that actually gives a shine to your hair.
My Experience:
I applied this hair colour on my black virgin hair on March 2, 2018. I washed my hair after 45 minutes of application (as mentioned in the instruction leaflet). At first, I didn't see much of a difference, I, then, noticed that my hair had a burgundy shine in daylight and appeared black otherwise. Although I didn't use any colour protecting shampoo, the colour lasted for me for more than 8 weeks.
A major drawback of using this hair colour is that it damaged my hair a lot. My hair became dry, followed by the appearance of split ends. My hair remained dry for nearly two months and split ends appeared again and again. The hair colour did not last for my mother who used it for roots touch up.

My Recommendation:
Do NOT use this hair colour if you're using it to cover up grey hair or you've already coloured your hair before as it won't last for you. If you've never coloured your hair, then you may try this. Make sure that you take extensive care of your hair and remember, it won't be very prominent on your hair if you have dark hair.
