A Perfect Weekend Getaway from Delhi/Chandigarh

Hey travelers,

All of us need a break from our regular lives every now and then, however, it's not as easy as it sounds; getting a leave from your office, college or school can be tough sometimes. Weekends are all we get. So here's a perfect weekend getaway destination from Delhi, Chandigarh and nearby areas.

Recently, I went to this beautiful place called Kasauli, situated in the Himalayas at a height of nearly 6000 feet above sea level. Mountains have their own way to charm your day. The soothing wind, the fresh air, and the greenery everywhere are enough to make you feel at peace. Very similar to this description is Kasauli.





Here are some places you might want to visit during your trip to the place:

1) Timber Trail

A beautiful view from a height is always a bliss.
If you're going to Kasauli by road, you'll find this place on your way. It is a ropeway which takes you to another hill at a higher altitude. The beauty of nature can be enjoyed from here.



2) The Mall Road

 Want to take a memorandum or a gift for someone from Kasauli? Mall Road is the place for it.
It's a street with some restaurants, cafes, shops and other attractions. You may find a variety of keychains, home decoratives, etc. here.







3) Gilbert Nature Trail

 For all the nature lovers, this place is a must-visit. It will simply add a delightful experience to your overall trip and you can explore the impeccable beauty of nature here.



4) Monkey Point

 It is the highest peak in Kasauli which, being a part of the Air Force station, is maintained properly. From here, you can get a complete view of the surroundings.



5) Christ Church

 It is a historic church built in the British era on the mall road and is an attraction in the city till today.

Ishar Sweets: They are popular for their Kulfi and can be found on your way to Kasauli by road.



Kasauli Cafe, Mall Road: To satisfy your taste buds, you may find the finest chicken momos at "Kasauli Cafe" which are definitely worth a try.


Cafe Mantra: A popular cafe situated in the Heritage Market (Mall Road), Cafe Mantra is a cozy restaurant good for small bites.
