Pre-Holi Skin Care
Hey fashionistas
The festival of colors is round the corner. Be it gulal or any other chemical color, we don't want them to harm us by any means.
Prevention is better than cure.
This Holi, don't let the colors scare you. Before you decide to go out and get colored with all the yellows, greens, blues and reds, here's something you might want to do:

This Holi, don't let the colors scare you. Before you decide to go out and get colored with all the yellows, greens, blues and reds, here's something you might want to do:
- Moisturize the skin
A day before Holi, apply body lotion and face moisturizer and let your skin absorb the moisture. It is hard for the skin to absorb any color if it is highly moisturized. On the day of Holi, make sure to re-apply the body lotion and the moisturizer properly, dabbing it lightly into the skin. Don't forget to apply the sunscreen if you're going to celebrate it under the sun.
Some good moisturizers and body lotions that you can use are:
- Moisturize the lips
Use a lip balm or anything like vaseline to protect your lips from the harmful colors.
Some lip balms that you can use are:
1) Nivea Original Care Lip Balm
2) Maybelline New York Baby Lips Color
3) Nykaa Serial Kisser Lip Balm
- Protect the hair
The Holi colors can damage your hair to a great extent. It's always better to protect your hair beforehand and not regret later. Oil your hair with any hair oil that you prefer using (I personally recommend coconut oil).
- Wear full sleeve clothes
Lastly, try to cover yourself as much as you can. Wear a full sleeve top or t-shirt, full pants or leggings, and try to cover your hair with a cap or a hat. Avoid direct exposure to the colors.
Play carefree, the colors won't damage an inch of you!
That's it for this post!
Happy Holi! Have a safe one.
